My love of adventure and the outdoors probably comes from my dad. He would take us walking and exploring every weekend. As a family, we pretty much took all our holidays in glorious parts of Great Britain.
I didn’t have a passport until my late teens, but once I had one, I instantly fell in love with seeing and experiencing new cultures and sights.
I opted to spend my second year of university at a Business School on France, and I pretty much knew straight away that I’d move overseas again at some point in my life.
Then I found a career in Marketing that could present those opportunities, and met my future wife who was even more adventurous than me.
Fast forward a few years and our jobs have led us to living in our 3rd country together and pretty sure that there will be more.
Every opportunity we have, we make the most of our precious free time to explore as much as possible despite the constraints of our jobs. Hence 9to5explorer was born.
My wife hates the name, but it’s kind of stuck. C’est la vie.
